Abstract Penguins | 12 Days of Christmas Challenge

Christmas Penguin Nail art

Hi guys! Only a few prompts left :-(. What should I do with my life when this all ends? I will probably start doing Spring nail art haha. That is just how it goes, first it's Winter then we got Christmas and New Year and after all that, it's Spring. At least, that's how it feels like. After the holidays, I will most certainly wear neutrals for the next few weeks. But then it's Spring manicures! Alright, so today I want to show you my take on Penguins! Again, I choose to do an abstract, more wearable version of the prompt. So make sure to hit the jump to check out the details! <3

Bow for Bows | 12 Days of Christmas Challenge

Christmas Glitter Bow Nail art

Hey guys! Today's prompt is presents/bows and I obviously went completely for the bows part haha. I have been meaning to do this kind of bow for so long now and this was the perfect occassion. I won't be going into detail about how you can create you own bow, but Abetweene on Youtube certainly will. I used her tutorial too ;-). And while you're there, check out her other tutorials, too. She is super creative and I love her videos. <3

Abstract Candy Cane | 12 Days of Christmas Challenge

Christmas Candy Cane nail art

Hey guys! I hope you are enjoying my take on the Christmas challenge so far, I sure am! Today's prompt is Candy Canes. I did not want to stick with the usual candy cane pattern, so I made an abstract, more wearable version of the classic Christmas nail art. I was inspired by this manicure by Jin Soon Choi. It really caught my eye, because it looks so sleek and classy and I just had to recreate it. There are more pictures and details after the jump so make sure to check it out! <3

Fluffy Wrapping Paper | 12 Days of Christmas Challenge

Hi guys! Today's prompt is 'Inspired by wrapping paper'. Well, I have to admit, I really didn't know what to do. I saw lots of gorgeous wrapping papers, but they weren't festive enough. And the festive ones were just too blah. So I took some ideas from a few different wrapping papers and I incorporated a few techniques I learned a while ago. And this is the result. Not too Christmassy, not too meh, and quite wearble. <3

Shine bright, Ornaments | 12 Days of Christmas Challenge

Christmas ornaments nail art

Hey guys! Number four already, phew. So, today's prompt was ornaments and I decided to draw Christmas lights on my nails, hah. I was inspired by @usti_na on Instagram (make sure to check her out, because she is a genius). She has a short tutorial on her Instagram showing how to achieve this look and I more or less used the same technique so I won't go into detail in this post. Alright, I have some more pictures after the jump, so come on and take a look! <3

Silver & Gold Glitter Ornaments | 12 Days of Christmas Challenge

Silver Gold Glitter Gradient nail art

Hi guys! The third prompt already. Today's theme is gold and silver glitter. I thought this was going the easiest prompt of all, but this is the only one I redid. I just did not know what I had to do, so I went for a gold and silver gradient. Nothing fancy, nothing creative, just a plain old gradient. Oh, well, it is a good nail art for the holidays. And with good I mean, easy and quick ;-). I got some more pictures and all the details after the jump!

Christmas Tree Nail Art

Hey guys! Are you ready for the second nail art in the 12 Days of Christmas Challenge? Well, I hope you are because here I am. Today's prompt is Christmas Trees. I personally love learning new techniques that are easy and quick to do and pretty much foolproof. So, may I present to you: my abstract Christmas trees inspired by watercolour tattoos. ;-) <3

Icy Snow Day | 12 Days of Christmas Challenge

Snowflake nail art

Hi guuuuuuys! This year, I will be participating again in the Challenge Your Nail Art 12 Days of Christmas challenge. YAS. I have been waiting a whole year to do this. At this point, I already created six looks, and I will to my bestest best to finish the complete challenge.

I am so excited, you don't even know. Last year, I created my looks using regular nail polish, like most people do. But this year I decided to do the challenge in GEL POLISH! Yes, gel polish! So for my gel polish ladies out there, my at-home-users or maybe my nail techs, I got you covered. Feel free to recreate my designs (with credit of course wink wink) and make sure to tag me so I can see them using the tag #LoveLifeLacquer12DoC.

Ok, now for today's challenge. Our first prompt is Snow Day. Aka, almost everything Christmassy is possible. I went for a shimmery icy snow day because I just like my glitter and shimmer :-D. Make sure to hit the jump for some close-ups because they are b-e-a-utiful! Love and kisses! <333

Cadillacquer Christmas Collection

Christmas Collection? Is it that time already? YES IT IS, WHOO! That means.. Christmas polishes aaaaall over te place, yes! Cadillacquer released their Christmas Collection last week, and I have some swatches for you.

The formula on all four polishes is good. They apply nicely, dry fairly quick and they are PACKED with glitter and shimmer.
For my swatches, I used 3 coats and 1-2 layers of topcoat. All pictures are made with flash unless otherwise stated.

12 Days of Christmas: Gifts

Quick post!
Yep, I am late, AGAIN. But I am catching up, or at least I'm trying. I don't have a lot of time to design something complicated, so this cute bow has to do the for the theme of today (actually of Friday), which is Gifts!

I used Ooh La Lacquer - Beware of the Plastics as a base colour. For the bow I used Kiko - 236, NYC - City Blackout and nail art brushes from Born Pretty Store.

Oh yeah, you can buy Ooh La Lacquer on Etsy!

12 Days of Christmas: Holiday Movie

Gotta be having déjà vu?! Yes, I was lazy and I used this manicure as a base for my Snowmen nails.
So what Holiday Movie inspired me? Well, it's Blauwteen Het Kerstelfje, or Bluetoes The Christmas Elf!
It was my favourite Christmas movie when I was little and it's just super cute and hmm!

And for the ones who don't know who Bluetoes is, check him out here!

Oh yeah, my nails represent his blue toes, OBVIOUS.

So I basically used the same as yesterday, minus the acrylic paints and nail art brushes.

12 Days of Christmas: Snowmen

Yes, yes, I know, I'm ridiculously late with the Snowmen nails. Normally, I had to post these on Sunday and today I had to post my nails inspired by a holiday movie. I'll post my holiday movie nails tomorrow, pinky promise.

So, for this manicure I used:
  - Bourjois Bleu Water
  - Only You White French
  - Acrylic paints
  - Nail art brushes from Born Pretty Store
  - Essence Top Sealer

And I used this tutorial for the snowman. And I used the sponge technique for the gradient!
