Gosh Bubble Gum | Random Swatch Saturday

Gosh Bubble Gum swatch by @lovelifelacquer

Hey you! Well, well, this must be the week of the baby pinks! Today I will be showing you Bubble Gum by Gosh. I do not usually wear pink creams on their own. I tend to pair them up with another colour or use them in nail art and gradients. This is by the way, a great polish to do gradients with, just saying.. ;-)

Colourful Caged Nails | Nail Art

Hi everyone! How are you? Today I have some nail art to show you. It is not really wintery, not really springy, it is just a nice geometric nail art with some colours thrown in!

A while ago I saw this amazing nail art done by @purplenailbox on Instagram and I fell in love. Frances' version is a lot better than mine, but I was in a hurry and I could not perfect them the way I wanted too. So I will probably do them over in a few weeks or months.

Polishes used for this manicure:
  • Sinful Colors - Snow me white
  • China Glaze - First Mate
  • China Glaze - Aquadelic
  • Kiko - 343
  • Essence - Ultimate Pink
  • Essence - Passion for Fashion
  • Gosh - Bubble Gum
I painted the stripes using a regular striping brush.

I hope you like it! Please let me know in the comments what you would like to see on my blog. I read every comment so do not hesitate! ;-) <3

Prismatic nail design inspired by Chelsea Queen

Heyaaaaa!

I am sooo in love with this geometric nail art inspired by the PRISMATIC Scratch nail wraps designed by Chelsea King/Queen/you know who. It has been a while (a loooooong, very long while actually haha) since I did a more difficult nail design. And I felt a bit rusty too: I spent 3 hours painting my nails and I perfected it this morning. God... My back hurts, my room is a hot mess, but it was totally worth it. And now, I'm done with nail art, because I'll probably wear this one for the rest of my life. Or until something else pops into my head and my fingers start aching. Alright, without further ado, let's move on to some pictures!

I also stole Chelsea's pose, hehe, woops
Yay, sunny picture!
The thumb!

Hope you all like this design as much as I do! I really like geometric designs, but you can always make the lines more crisp, get your corners a bit sharper... Mine are never painted to utter perfection, just because I really don't have the time to do so haha :-D.

What do you think about geometric designs?

Gosh Frosted Sand - Frosted Purple

Hello hello hellooooooo. Today I will be showing you one polish of the new Gosh Autumn/Winter collection, Frosted Purple. And it is, indeed, a liquid sand. My first everrrrrrr!

Even though the name of this lacquer is Frosted Purple, to me it looks more like a grey with just a hint of purple. Nonetheless, I think it is a beautiful shade. Shown in the pictures is two coats of Frosted Purple on it's own, without a topcoat so you can see the effect. Duh.
It applied really nicely and I felt that it dried pretty quickly too.

In the picture above you can see the polish also has some bigger hex glitter in it, which makes it even more glittery. YAY!

For my readers in the Netherlands and Belgium, Gosh is available at Kruidvat for €7,29.
I know Gosh is also available through Superdrug, but I'm not quite sure where else. Let me know in the comments below!

Glitter Dip

This is the second look I created using these glitters from Born Pretty Store: Glitter Dip!

It is so easy to do: just paint on a layer of nailpolish and quickly put your nail in the glitters. Let it dry a bit, put on topcoat and that's it!

For this manicure I used:
Glitters from Born Pretty Store
Gosh - Galaxy (which is absolutely stunning!)
Essence - Top Sealer

Don't forget to use my Born Pretty Store coupon code AYJ61 which gives you 10% off!

Have you ever tried a glitter dip? If you haven't: do it right now!

Some of the products were sent to me for review.

No idea.

No idea what to call this manicure. NO IDEA. It also looked a lot better in my head than it does on my nails.

I'm actually pretty proud that my lines are so straight and crisp! And the colours are bright and perfect for summer! So, okay, maybe I like it more than I thought..

Here's what I used:
Gosh - Holographic Hero
Catrice - Meet me at Coral Island
Catrice - Innocent Toxin
Essence - Let's get lost
1.5 mm black round studs from Born Pretty Store

Accent Nail: Part II

Déjà vu? OUI!
As I loved my accent nail so much, I decided to keep it a bit longer. And I thought a pink gradient would fit perfectly!

For the gradient I used Gosh - Neon Baby and Gosh - Bubble Gum.
If you want to know what products I used for the accent nail, take a look over here!

Gradient Nails

A few days ago Teenvogue published the Madeline Poole gradient nails tutorial on their website. FI-NAL-LY!! I have been waiting for this tutorial for so long! Because everytime I did an attempt at gradient nails, it was just blechhh. But now: success!

I used Gosh - Bubble Gum and Gosh - Miss Minty. Normally I do not buy Gosh, but I picked them up recently at Kruidvat, buy one - get one for free, couldn't resist haha!

You can find the tutorial here!

Did you ever try gradient nails?
