Glitter Dip with KKCenterHK Glitter

YUUUP I KNOW IT HAS BEEN A WHILE YES YES YES AND I'M SOOOOORRYYYYY. But I'm back now, yeah baby!

OK, so today I will be showing you an easy manicure you can create with this 0.2 mm black glitter I was kindly sent by KKCenterHK.

You can achieve this glitter dip look with 3 simple steps:
1. Paint on a nice coat of your favourite black polish, mine is City Blackout by NYC.
2. Before the polish dries, quickly dip your nail in the container with the 0.2mm black glitter from KKCenterHK.
3. Let it dry for a couple of minutes and swipe off the excess with a fluffy brush.

I did one nail at a time, otherwise the polish on the first nail would be dry and wouldn't hold the glitter very well! Basically, you do the same thing as with velvet nails, so NO topcoat! ^^

Et voilĂ , a nice close-up!

Please note that this glitter is NOT holographic, the pictures on the website might be a little bit deceiving. Nonetheless it's a gorgeous glitter to work with.

KKCenterHK sells this 0.2mm black glitter for $8.41 and you get 10 grams in a nice pot. Use the coupon code LoveLifeLacquer to get 10% off!

Neon + Stripes = Inspired by Hey, Nice Nails!

Christmas is over, so let's get back to no-theme-nail art! For this manicure I was inspired by a Hey, Nice Nails! design. You can find the design here, it is in the upper right corner.

I really love how it turned out, the neon, the black and white. I think it matches pretty well!

For this manicure I used Only You - White French and BK #11 Glow in the Dark polish from Born Pretty Store. For the stripes I used NYC - City Blackout and a nail art brush. To seal it all in, I used Essence - Top Sealer (ofcours).

If you want to buy something at Born Pretty Store, don't forget to use my code AYJ61 and get 10% off!

What is your favourite design from Hey, Nice Nails! ?

Uniqso Lenses - Barbie Puffy 3 Tones Blue

Today, I got something completely different for you! Big eye circle lenses from UNIQSO!

UNIQSO is a Malaysian based brand. They carry a great selection of lenses, but they also sell earrings, make-up and nailpolish. Plus, they ship worldwide!
I decided to pick the Barbie - Puffy 3 Tones in blue. The lenses come in a cute box and with a free lens case.

Here are some pictures with and without the lenses.

 Original eye color!

And here's a picture with the lenses. Here you can clearly see that the lenses are bigger than my irises.

The lenses have a diameter of 16,5 mm and they come in prescriptions of 0.0 to -8.0. They are available in blue, green, brown, violet and grey.

I never wore circle lenses before and I found it really difficult to put them in my eyes. And probably, because I'm not used to wearing them, they felt rather uncomfortable. Though, my right eye was more comfortable than my left. But overall, I like them! They add something special to your look, which is great for a party!

As I said, UNIQSO ships worldwide! And their shipping rate is $5 and an additional $2 for every extra pair you order.

If you're planning on getting yourself a pair of nice lenses, don't forget to use this coupon code: LoveLifeLacquer and get 10% off!

Do you wear circle lenses?

Accent Nail

Here's a simple manicure with a solid colour and a *BOOM* accent nail!

The solid colour is Exotic Encounters from the China Glaze On Safari collection. My friend Emily gave this to me - yay happy dance, love you love you love you Emily! -, it is such a beautiful colour!

Here is (kind of) a close up of the accent nail:

For the *BOOM* accent nail I used steel ball, gold square studs, round black studs, round silver studs, round gold studs, 2 mm rhinestones, 3 mm rhinestones and elliptic rhinestones. I guess that's all... HA!

Team GB!

So as you all know, the London 2012 Olympics started last night! I personally think it is a great excuse to paint my nails!

This manicure is inspired by the Great Britain WAG London 2012 Leotards, there is a blue one and a red one. You are probably wondering why the hell I chose this? Well, I did acrobatic gymnastics for about 11 years and it still fascinates me, so YEAH LEOTARD!

Here is a line-up of the polishes I used for this manicure:
  • Bourjois - Corail Magique
  • Bourjois - Bleu Water
  • Catrice - Blue Cara Ciao
  • China Glaze - First Mate
  • Only You - White French
  • 2B - 76 (red)
  • Essence - Protecting Base Coat
  • Essence - Top Sealer
  • Born Pretty Store - Nail art brushes
Oh yeah, by the way, WAG means Women Artistic Gymnastics!

Simply Aquadelic

Here's a simple design I did the other day. It's really easy to do and I love how it turned out!
I think it gives the illusion of longer and pointier nails. But then again, it also can be my imagination... :-D

I used China Glaze - Aquadelic as a basecolour, Only You - White French for the stripes and a nail art brush which I got from Born Pretty Store.

What do you think of simple designs?
