12 Days of Christmas Challenge: Snowflakes

Hello reader. Why yes, you read it right: I am (finally) participating again in a Christmas Challenge. Well, I am trying to, so bear with me! The prompt of today is snowflakes! I am pretty excited about this mani, because it turned out so good. As usual, it does look better in person, haha.

Urban Lacquer - Hurry Me Up

Aaaand here is my last Urban Lacquer: Hurry Me Up. This is how Brenda describes it: "Hurry Me Up is a unique blend of micro iridescent pink flakies, neon yellow hex glitter, and black shredded glitter in a clear base. Works best as a glitter topper, although can be worn alone, when applying 3-4 coats. The micro pink flakies will shift from pink to purple, and is a perfect "going out" polish!"

My camera had some difficulties picking up the shifting, actually it had problems capturing the entire polish haha. I tried and I tried and this is the best I could to. Shown here is 2 coats over Essence Lilac Is My Style.

It is actually a very unique polish because of the glitter combination, I think. I would never ever ever mix purple with neon yellow, but you see: it turns out great, right? RIGHT!

Because of the shreds, it looks a bit lumpy, especially in a close-up... BUT you can see all the ingredients of this polish: the pink-purple shifting, the irredescent flakies, the neon yellow hexes and ofcours the black shreds (they're quite obvious).

Urban Lacquer - Take It Offline

Wednesday already, woohooh! Today I will be showing you a polish which I should have posted about two months ago or so? It is another Urban Lacquer polish; Take It Offline. Brenda has been so patient with me and I feel soooo so so so bad for letting her wait this long... So, now you all know! DAMN.

This is what Brenda had to say about Take It Offline: "Looking for a polish that can be worn to the office? Not really interested in glitter polishes? If so, UL's CEO Collection polishes are for you! Take It Offline is one of the first polishes in UL's CEO Collection, and is a stunning copper-gold color. This is a very versatile polish, and can be worn by itself, or with a glitter topper."

In the bottle, Take It Offline looks a bit boring, but when I applied it to my nails OH DEAR LORD. It is such a beautiful warm, copper polish, and I found it shifting a bit too!

I painted 3 coats of Take It Offline on its own and topped it with my favourite top coat; Essence Top Sealer. Application-wise, this was heaven. It glided on like butter and it dried pretty fast.

Urban Lacquer - NaCl

I'm back with another indie polish. This time I'll be showing you NaCl by Urban Lacquer! NaCl might by one of my favourite polishes ever. EVER. Oh btw, I basically included all my pictures of NaCl in this post, just so you know... Now, without further ado, let's move on to some close-ups!

This is what Brenda had to say about NaCl: "NaCl is a gorgeous, color-changing blend of white and iridescent glitter - 8 different glitters, to be exact. Looks beautiful over any base color! This formula is thick, and almost has a fluffy texture. It glides easily onto the nail, and is a wonderful addition to your winter polish collection!"

NaCl looks good over any base colour! I had the hardest time deciding which colour I was going for, but then I figured that the different colours of the glitter would really pop if I layered it over black. And it did, oh boy it did!

I layered two fine coats of NaCl over NYC - City Blackout. Application-wise, I had no problem whatsoever, it glided on like butter! For the accent nail I used these small round studs from Born Pretty Store. I topped it with Essence Top Sealer to seal (duh) it all in.
