Pink Gellac Passion Pink | Swatches & Review

Hello, I am back! Due to exams, it has been a little while since I posted something on my blog.. Although, I have been active on my Facebookpage and Instagram, so make sure to follow me over there! ;-)

Today I will be showing you Passion Pink by Pink Gellac. Pink Gellac is a gel polish brand manufactured in The Netherlands. Like any other gel polish brand, it will last 14-21 days.

It is my first time reviewing gel polish, so bear with me! I only swatched the colours, because I like to change my nails every 2-3 days. But I will test it on my mom this week and see how long her nails last.

By the way, I googled some swatches of Passion Pink and I noticed mine look more pink. I figured it is because of my lamp: it makes my camera pick up a LOT of the gorgeous pink shimmer in the polish. Keep in mind that it is a dark pink base colour! ;-)

Onto application. I followed the steps on their website to make sure that what I did, was right. :-D

1. Slightly buff your nails and push back your cuticle.
2. Cleanse your nails using the Pink Cleaner.
3. Optional: apply a thin layer of Pink Primer on the tip of your nails.
4. Apply a thin layer of Pink Gellac Base² and cure for 30 seconds (UV) or 15 seconds (LED). Make sure to cap your tips.
Base² contains vitamin E, B5 and calcium to stimulate the growth of your natural nails and it prevents discoloration and staining of your nails.
5. Apply a thin layer of Pink Gellac Passion Pink and cure for 1 minute (UV) or 30 seconds (LED). Make sure to cap your tips. Repeat. I applied 3 coats.
6. Apply a thin layer of Pink Gellac Ultra Shine and cure for 1 minute (UV) or 30 seconds (LED). Make sure to cap your tips.
No need to remove the tacky layer since the Pink Gellac Ultra Shine is a no wipe top coat.

Ta da! You are done!

The polish has a nice consistency, not too thick nor too thin, which makes application fairly easy. The brush, though, is a little bit too stiff for my liking. However, it still provides a nice and smooth finish, so I am not complaining!

Pink Gellac is available on their website and in the Chickettes Boutique. Colours cost €14,95 and Base² and Ultra shine are €17,95.

Do you own any Pink Gellacs? What is your favourite colour?
