Hi guys! Today I will be showing you the Party Collection by Magpie Beauty. Magpie Beauty is a UK-based shop that sells high-quality glitter, dusts and pigments. I have been drooling over the holographic glitter since July and a few weeks ago, when the Party Collection was released, I decided to take the plunge and just buy them all. Jup, BUY ALL THE HOLO. And so far, no regrets, at all. They are just beautiful, ridiculously beautiful. Everytime I look at my bottles, I fall in love all over again. And again.
For my swatches I used gel polishes, it's super easy to apply the glitter that way. First you do your 2 coats of colour and cure, then you push the glitter in the tacky layer, put on 2 coats of top coat and cure. Bam, done, glitter! I used a cheap Essence Cosmetics smoky eyes brush to apply the glitter. It is a dense brush so perfect so push the glitter in the tacky layer and buff it in. Oh yeah, make sure to buff it in for a flawless effect.
I should stop rambling now and just let you see the swatches. So, make sure to hit the jump! ;-) <3
Amelia - A pink-y champagne holographic. I layered it over Pink Gellac Nude Beige. My sister has this glitter on her nails as an accent nail combined with Gelish Hello, Merlot!. It is a super classy combo, perfect for the holidays. Or for everyday, if you want to feel fabulous, of course.
Genna - An rusty red holographic glitter. I layered it over Gelish Hello, Merlot!. A red, what can I say more. This one basically screams 'XMAS BABY'. Obviously.
Amira - A dark blue with hints of purple holographic glitter. I layered it over Pink Gellac Marvelous Blue. My sister has worn this one too, the same combination and it is devine.
Coco - A chocolate brown with hints of dark blue holographic glitter. I layered it over Pink Gellac Intens Taupe. My mom is wearing this one in combination with La LaQ Hot Mama, a bright orange.
I'm in love with the blue. :)
