Yves Rocher Menthe, Hibiscus Rouge, Aubergine Profond & Bleu Pensée | Swatch & Review

Yves Rocher nail polish swatch review

Hey guys! Have you ever heard of Yves Rocher? Yves Rocher is a worldwide cosmetics and beauty brand founded in France by (why yes) Yves Rocher. Yves Rocher recently spiced up their nail polish and nail care line and I have 4 polishes to show you today. If you want to see some swatches, you know what to do. ;-) <3

Yves Rocher Menthe swatch review

Menthe - Menthe means mint in French, and that is what this polish is, well kind of. It is a mint, but it's on the darker side. I have a similar colour like this and that one is called Jade, sooo. The formula was great, very smooth. I applied just 2 coats for a flawless finish.

Hibiscus Rouge - That's French for Hibiscus Red. This shade is so bright, ahh. It's a bright red coral leaning a tiny bit on the pink side. It has a thin but pigmented formula, so the best way to apply this is to almost completely brush off the excess nail polish of your brush. Trust me, I learned it the hard way aka flooded cuticles all over the place. This is 3 super thin coats.

Yves Rocher Aubergine Profond swatch review

Aubergine Profond - Well, I could translate this as Deep/Profound Eggplant. Doesn't sound half as good as the French name haha. You can't really see it in the pictures, but this polish has a silver cap (the other ones have a black one), this because it is a Gel Effect Lacquer. Maybe that's why the formula is a bit different. This one was the hardest to apply, it seems to get a bit gloopy once you start your second coat. Well, I used 2 coats and maybe this is a one coat wonder? I always feel weird when I only apply one layer of polish, so I ALWAYS apply 2, at least.

Yves Rocher Bleu Pensée swatch review

Bleu Pensée - Blue Thought? Something along that way? It is a very dark blue and I love it so much. It's so pretty, you guys. Even though we are getting into Summer, I love this dark shade, it makes my nails look so gorgeous *hearts* And the formula is great, this was only 2 coats. (Maybe one coat, check above, hehe).

All the polishes have Elemi in them to provide a gorgeous shine and a short drying time. The brush makes it easy to apply the polish as if it was done professionally.

Yves Rocher nail polishes sell for €5,90 for 5ml.
