Pink Gellac Blossom Collection | Swatch & Review
Hi guys! Spring is heeeeere! And so have the Spring collections from several brands. BUT, Pink Gellac decided to create another collection just for you, the Blossom Collection. And -whoohoo!- it is a pastels-only collection, yay. Finally, right?
The Blossom Collection consists of five pastel shades and three of the colours have a slight shimmer to them. The colours range from soft peach to baby blue and there is definitely something for everyone.
Side note
The formula of most of the polishes in this collection is a bit thinner and less pigmented than what you would expect from Pink Gellac. It is very important that you mix these colours very well. Before I use them, I warm them by keeping them on my lap for a while (true story) and then rolling it between my hands in all directions. If you have a small spatula, you can try and mix the gel polish that way, this will be very effective, too.
184 Rosy Pink - Rosy Pink light pastel pink crème. The first coat is barely there, it is very sheer and thin and I thought that all was lost. However, coat number two gave already a much better result, but still quite sheer. I have to say, you can wear two coats Rosy Pink for a natural finish, pretty gorgeous. However, for swatch-purposes, I swatch the polishes until completely opaque. This is 4 coats.
185 Gorgeous Green - Gorgeous Green is a light pastel yellow-leaning green crème with a soft shimmer. Again, the consistency is quite on the thin side which makes it a bit harder to work with. The colour however is amazing, so soft and pretty. Perfect for Spring if you ask me. This is 3 coats.
186 Precious Lila - Precious Lila is a pastel light purple with a subtle soft blue shimmer. YAAAAS, a past lilac, finallyyyyy Pink Gellac, finally! So happy they came out with this uber gorgeous shade. I will be rocking this pretty lilac all Spring long, I tell you! The formula was much better. It is still thin, but much more pigmented than the other shades in the Blossom collection. This is 3 coats, but 2 is enough.
187 Brilliant Blue - Brilliant Blue is a soft cool baby blue pastel crème with a soft blue shimmer. Again, thin formula, sheer first coat etc etc. But a beautiful and very unique colour in the Pink Gellac range. A musthave. This is 3 coats.
188 Charming Nude - Charming Nude is a soft pastel peach crème. A have a feeling a lot of people might like this colour. It is soft, but it has some colour, it's Spring appropriate but not too much, and it is pretty much wearable all year long. Again, thinner formula and sheer first coat, but you give some and you take some, right. This is 3 coats.
What do you think of the new Blossom Collection by Pink Gellac? What colour is your favourite? Remember, when you buy two Pink Gellac colours, the third on is always free! <3
