Bundle Monster Snake Charmer Set 1 | Swatches & Review

Bundle Monster Snake Charmer set 1

Hi guys! I'MMMM BAAAAACK! About time, huh? What can I say, life happened, sorry. I want to make it up to you by reviewing the Bundle Monster Duotone Chromatic Snake Charmer gel nail lacquers. In today's post I will talk about set 1 aka the flakies set! It is also my first time trying out the Bundle Monster products. And I must say: not dissappointed, nope, not at all! I was also sent the second set, but today I want the focus to be on the flakies! Each set consists of 3 gel polishes, set 1 has the duo/multichrome flakies colours and set 2 holds the duo/multichromes, without the flakes. These polishes can be cured under a UV as well as under an LED lamp. Aaaand, enough rambling, let's check out the pictures! <3 *picture heavy like usual*

Slitherine - Slitherine shifts from blue over purple and pink to coppery gold. Application-wise, these polishes do need some getting used to. It is not like they are difficult to apply, they are just a tiny bit tricky as there might be some dragging if you are not careful. By the way, I warmed up and rolled the gel polishes between my hands before applying them. This makes it a bit smoother and easier to apply especially when the room you store your polishes in is a bit cool (like mine). In my opinion, Slitherine is pretty similar to Blue Venom, however Slithering is more of a purple and it shifts to a coppery gold. This is 3 coats on its own.

So gorgeous!

Copperhead Charm - Copperhead Charm shifts from red over brown and gold to a bright green and has the strongest shift out of the three flakie gel polishes. It is stunning and magical and all the good things in life combined in one little bottle of polish. Ahh. And like I said on my Instagram: the force is strong with this one <3 This is 3 coats on its own.

So bright, so green, so waw!

Blue Venom - Blue Venom shifts from a teal over blue to purple. Look at that teaaaaaal. I love teal. And that puuuurple. Teal to purple is the best. It is a shame that this polish it not a bit shiftier, it would be my favourite if it did! Although, Blue Venom is similar to Slitherine, this is has a teal hint to it and does not really shift to a copper. This is 3 coats on its own.

Like I said, all my swatches are 3 coats on its own. BUT, only 1 coat over black looks almost identical. Almost, because it does not have the kind of depth 3 coats will give.

And that's it! The individual Snake Charmer colours sell for $13,99 and a set sells for $37,99. It is a bit on the pricier side, considering other Bundle Monster gel polishes are very affordable. Well, let me tell you a little story, kids. Flakies and chromatic pigments are expensive, that's why prices are higher. But, hey! They are totally worth it. I mean, flakies + chrome + gel polish? Sounds like a match made in heaven. And I am pretty sure Bundle Monster will be your best bet if you ever want quite affordable flakies gel polish ;-). My advice? Get them before they are gone.

  1. Hi, I've never tried Bundle Monsters gel polish before, I'm kind of in love with CND's shellac and go to Gelish as a back up for range of colors...but these colors are just gorgeous!!! Ok, so my question is; are these applied like a regular gel polish? Meaning, special base, layers and special top coat all dried under uv?

    1. Hi! Yes, they apply like a regular gel polish so first the base coat, then colour and finish with a top coat. And they can be cured with UV as well as with an LED lamp ;-). I will add it to the blogpost!
