Hey guys! Pink Gellac just released their NEW Summer Collection and I am here to show you some swatches! This collection has five new colours, with a variety of shimmers and brights. Overall, the formula was easy to work with and not too thin and application was a breeze.
Now, let's talk swatches! <3
First up is Glamorous Peach. This is a peachy coral infused with a gorgeous golden shimmer. It has a smooth formula and a controlled application. I applied 3 coats. I am madly in love with this beauty. It's one of those typical Summer colours you can wear to any occasion.
So pretty! <3 <3 <3
Next is Ibiza Pink, a bright neon pink shade *puts on sunglasses*. A neon pink is one of those colours you have to have in your collection. It can spice up your outfit and it is a real conversation starter, haha :-D. Ibiza Pink is super bright, but it's not a cooler pink. It's very pretty and it's a shame I couldn't completely capture it's beauty. Shown in the pictures is 3 coats, but you will get away with just 2. I had no trouble whatsoever applying this gel polish, it has an easy formula and good pigmentation.
Next is Rockstar Red. This red looks like it's leaning more on the orange side, but that's because it is infuuuuused with a golden shimmer. This one too has a smooth formula and shown in the pictures is 3 coats. I usually don't gravitate towards this kind of reds, but I think it's unique. And paired up with a pretty dress it will look pretty amazing!
Shimmerrrrrr!
Next up is Intergalactic Purple. First things first: it is a dark purple with a pink shimmer, but my camera picked it up as a navy blue (major fail) so I had to adjust it using the program I use to edit my photos. And yeah. It was so hard to get it completely right, so the colour might vary depending on the settings of your screen.
I wouldn't think of this as a typical Summer shade, but that is what makes it unique. It's a perfect colour for when you go out or for hot Summer evenings. Nice and vampy! I applied 4 coats to get it completely opaque. The formula was a bit more difficult on this one and the first coat was a on the sheer side.
And last but not least: Clarity Turquoise. This is a gorgeous blue shimmer/frost base infused with a golden-like shimmer (which doesn't completely show up in my pictures). It looks quite metallic-y, but I can assure you: it's so pretty. Reminds me of those typical dream holidays with a tropical beach and stuff, haha. This is 3 coats. First layer is a bit sheer, but 3 coats is more than enough!
Overall, I really like this Summer collection. I think everyone will love at least one of the five colours. The formula was great and easy to use, so perfect for when you're doing your own nails.
Pink Gellac is available through their website and sells for €14,95.
